Get to the Isle of Man by Air

The Isle of Man has great air links with many major airports situated in the United Kingdom & Ireland.

Most airlines operate daily flights to the Island – with some flights from the North West of England taking just under 30 minutes – which makes traveling by air quick and convenient!

You can fly from the below airports directly to the island with flights on a daily basis:

Flying from Europe to the Isle of Man

If you are traveling by air from europe you may take advantage of some great connections with Flybe and Easyjet.

Flybe offer interlined flights across their network flying via Manchester & London Gatwick from airports such as Paris Charles de Gaulle, Milan Malpensa and Dusseldorf.

Easyjet's extensive network also allows connecting flight through Liverpool or London Gatwick.

Traveling to the Isle of Man from the further afield

The island has no direct air link with London Heathrow but please do not let this put you off travelling through Heathrow, you can fly from Heathrow to Manchester then onto the Isle of Man from here via ferry from Liverpool or direct airlink to the Isle of Man. 

You can also consider flying into Paris Charles De Gaulle and take advantage of the Flybe airlinks via Manchester or Birmingham airports to the Isle of Man.

From America and Canada to the Isle of Man

 If you are traveling from the US we advise that you connect to the island by flying into Dublin and using Aer Lingus's connection to the island. Alternately London Gatwick maybe another option.

There is no direct connection with the island and London Heathrow airport, you can fly from Heathrow to the island via Manchester and Dublin.

From Australia, New Zealand & Asia

Emirates have great links via Dublin, Manchester and London Gatwick, using Dubai as a hub you can get great links to these UK airports with onward flights available to the island.

We always advise that if you are travelling long distance to check flights locally as you can get these at a much better cost, we are happy however to price and arrange flights for you.

The Isle of Man Airport

The islands airport known as Ronaldsway airport is located in the South of the island close to Castletown, by public transport the islands capital Douglas can be reached within 30 minutes. A frequent bus service stops outside the terminal building travelling to Port Erin in the South via Castletown or Port St Mary. 

A service to Douglas departs the airport every 20 minutes, you can also reach other parts of the island from Douglas bus station.
